Tour Plan

Day 1 Srinagar

On arrival, get transferred and check into the houseboat. After freshening up, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, the backbone of Kashmir tourism, sailing through the floating market. The enchanting views of cruising Shikaras, huge snow-capped mountains and glorious sunset are certain to leave you spellbound.

Day 2 Srinagar – Gulmarg

Check out and head to Gulmarg. A day full of adventure and sports activities, Gulmarg is India's skiing capital and home to one of the best skiing grounds. Apart from skiing, a few more activities to opt for are snowboarding, snowmobiling, ATV rides and trekking. Enjoy the Gondola ride one of the world's highest cable cars. Gulmarg has an 18-hole golf course, one of the largest. One can also opt for an Outer Circle walk around Gulmarg, offering panoramic views of mountains covered by alpine trees. Day 3 Gulmarg - Pahalgam (150 kms/ 3 hrs)

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive from Gulmarg to Pahalgam. En route, spot occasional breathtaking views of the Alps. Check into the hotel and proceed to Baisaran Valley, which is also known as the “Mini Switzerland of India”, enriched with green meadows, pine trees and snow-capped mountains, followed by a visit to the ancient Shiv Temple, known as Mamaleshwar Temple, surrounded by a freshwater pond.

Day 4 Pahalgam

After breakfast, get ready to visit places of attraction at Pahalgam. Betaab Valley, located 10 minutes from Pahalgam, got its name from Sunny Deol's movie Betaab. Betaab Valley is ringed with snow-capped mountains and pine trees, with stunning views of the River Sheshnag. It is an excellent place to capture memories and take some great clicks with the picture-perfect beauty of Betaab Valley, followed by Chandanwari – the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra.

Then proceed to Aru Valley, away from the hustle of Pahalgam. Aru Valley is a peaceful place with lush green mountains, the unspoilt beauty of the Lidder River and snow-capped mountains.

Overnight in Pahalgam.

Day 5 Pahalgam - Srinagar (90kms/ 2 hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. Visit the Mughal Gardens – Shalimar, Nishat and Chashme-Shahi, each having special historical value. The Mughal Gardens are surrounded by the paradisiacal views of the Zabarwan mountain valley, followed by Hazratbal Mosque.

Opposite Nishat Bagh, the mosque is built of white marble. Call it a day after some shopping at the local market. Recommended items to look for include winter wear – shawls / jackets / blankets, dry fruits and artefacts.

Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 6 Srinagar-Sonamarg-Srinagar

After breakfast, enjoy a beautiful drive to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold), also known as the “Gateway to Ladakh”. Visit Thajiwas Glacier, which is one of the most enchanting tourist places in Kashmir, standing at an altitude of approximately 9,200 ft.

Access to the glacier is either by foot or on horseback. Later, you can opt to explore white-water rafting. Evening drive back to Srinagar.

Day 7 Srinagar

After breakfast, start early in the morning towards Shankaracharya Hill (Lord Shiva Temple) and enjoy views of Dal Lake from the top.

Followed by a visit to Pari Mahal, located to the south-west of Dal Lake. The building depicts Mughal architecture.

Also visit Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, spread across 30 acres of land. Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 8 Srinagar | Departure

Visit a carpet-weaving factory, Old Srinagar City and go shopping as time permits.
