Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok

On arrival at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport (500 ft / 150 m), you will be met by our office executive, who will assist you in boarding your vehicle to Gangtok (5,500 ft / 1,677 m, 130 kms / 4 to 5 hrs).

Check in and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Gangtok

After breakfast, in the morning, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, situated at a height of 12,400 ft / 3,780 m / 43 kms, approximately 3 hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft.

The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned to the scenic beauty around. Return to Gangtok and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 Gangtok – Lachung

Pick-up from Gangtok Hotel and transfer to Lachung (8,000 ft / 2,439 m / 124 kms / 5½ to 6½ hrs).

On the way, visit Tashi View Point, Kabi Longtsok, Seven Sisters Waterfall and Singhik View Point. Lunch en route and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 Lachung – Yumthang – Gangtok

Early morning, proceed on a half-day excursion to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft / 3,598 m / 25 kms / 1½ hrs one way).

On the way, visit the Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. In the afternoon, transfer to Gangtok. On the way, see Bhim Nala Waterfall and Twin Waterfall.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Gangtok – Pelling

Go for a half-day sightseeing tour covering Jhakri Waterfalls (4 hrs), along with Droul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom and Flower Show.

In the afternoon, transfer to Pelling (6,100 ft / 1,860 m, 116 kms / 5 to 6 hrs). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Pelling

After breakfast, drive to Yuksom (5,840 ft / 1,780 m, 35 kms / 2 hrs). On the way, visit Darap Village, Rimbi Waterfall & Hydro Project, Khecheopalri Lake (6,000 ft / 1,829 m).

It is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lakes, and it is believed that whatever is wished for in front of the lake comes true. The myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid, clear water surface, it is picked up by a bird.

Continue to Khangchendzonga Waterfall. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks), the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim) was crowned.

In the evening, return to Pelling and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 Pelling – Darjeeling

Transfer to Darjeeling (7,380 ft / 2,250 m, 125 kms / 5 to 6 hrs). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 Darjeeling

Early morning, tour to Tiger Hill (8,364 ft / 2,550 m) at around 4 AM to view the sunrise over Khangchendzonga Peak, subject to clear weather.

On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.

After breakfast, go for a half-day sightseeing tour of Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday) and a Tea Estate.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 Darjeeling – NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport

Transfer to NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport (100 kms / 3 to 4 hrs) for your onward journey.
