Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Aurangabad

Arrival at Aurangabad Airport & transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisure. Dinner at hotel.

Day 2 Ellora Caves or Ajanta & Lonar Excursion

Choose one of the following excursions on Day 2:

Option A – Ellora Excursion
After breakfast, ETD 08:00 hrs: excursion to Daulatabad Fort and Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga. Lunch at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit Ellora Caves (04 hours). Travel back to Aurangabad, en route visiting the Paithani Saree centre near Khuldabad. Dinner at Tandoor Restaurant. Visit Tara Pan Centre. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

OR

Option B – Ajanta & Lonar Excursion
ETD 06:00 hrs: departure from Aurangabad, with breakfast en route. Arrive at Ajanta by 08:30 hrs and visit the famous caves from 09:00 hrs, followed by souvenir shopping. Depart by 13:00 hrs after lunch at Ajanta. Visit the world's third-largest crater, "Lonar," ETA 15:30 hrs. You will be assisted by Mr. Bugdhane, a researcher. Later, transfer to your hotel in Aurangabad. Dinner at Mh 20 & overnight stay.

Day 3 Aurangabad City Tour & Heritage Crafts

After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of historical Aurangabad. Visit Himroo weaving centres. Visit a Bidri workshop and see the Bidri work process, demonstrated by Mr. Gawai. Later in the evening, visit Bibi Ka Maqbara and Panchakki. Enjoy lunch at Tarabat, in the heart of the city. Enjoy a cultural dance performance in the evening while dining. Overnight stay.

Day 4 Departure

After breakfast, gather your memories and fly back to Mumbai.

The best time to visit Aurangabad for this Ajanta Ellora tour package is from October to March, when daytime temperatures stay pleasant (18–30°C) and are comfortable for cave-hopping and fort visits. Summers (April–June) get very hot (up to 40°C+), and the monsoon (July–September), while scenic, can affect the drive to Ajanta and Lonar. For clear skies and the most comfortable sightseeing, book your Aurangabad tour between November and February.
