Tour Plan

Day 1 Srinagar

On arrival, get transferred and check into the houseboat. After freshening up, enjoy a Shikara ride at Dal Lake, the backbone of Kashmir tourism. Sail through the floating market and enjoy the enchanting views of cruising Shikaras, huge snow-capped mountains, and the glorious sunset, which are certain to leave you spellbound.

Day 2 Srinagar - Gulmarg- Srinagar (110 kms)

Excursion to Gulmarg. Enjoy a day full of adventure and sports activities. Gulmarg is India's skiing capital and home to one of the best skiing grounds.

Apart from skiing, a few more activities to opt for are snowboarding, snowmobiling, ATV rides, and trekking. Enjoy the Gondola ride, one of the world's highest cable car rides, accessible in two phases at approximately 8,500 ft and 12,500 ft.

Gulmarg has an 18-hole golf course, one of the largest. One can also opt for an outer-circle walk around Gulmarg, offering panoramic views of mountains covered by Alpine trees. Cover almost all the places to see in Gulmarg. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 3 Srinagar-Sonamarg (80 kms)

Check out and head to Sonamarg. Enjoy the beautiful drive to Sonamarg, the "Meadow of Gold," also known as the "Gateway to Ladakh."

Visit Thajiwas Glacier, one of the most enchanting tourist places of Kashmir, standing at an altitude of approximately 9,200 ft. Access to the glacier is either on foot or on horseback.

After that, there is an option to explore white-water rafting. Overnight stay in Sonamarg.

Day 4 Sonamarg – Uletokpo (274 kms)

Check out and head to Uletokpo, passing through Zojila Pass. Take a halt at the Kargil War Memorial at Drass.

Thereafter, visit Mulbek and Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the Ladakh region. In Uletokpo, one may visit Rizong Monastery, which is at a distance of 2.5 km one way and can be covered on foot.

Uletokpo has one of the best camping sites in Ladakh. Overnight stay in Uletokpo.

Day 5 Uletokpo- Leh (81 kms)

Check out and head towards Leh. En route, take short halts at three monasteries - Alchi Monastery, the only monastery in Ladakh on flat ground; Likir Monastery, located near the bank of the River Indus and home to a 75-foot-tall statue of the Golden Maitreya Buddha; followed by a visit to Spituk Monastery.

Further, visit Magnetic Hill, a gravity-defiance point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Leh Hall of Fame, which showcases Kargil War memorabilia. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6 Leh

After breakfast, visit Leh Palace, built in the 17th century. The palace offers panoramic views of Leh city.

Then proceed to Shanti Stupa, a white-domed stupa constructed by Japanese and Ladakh Buddhists in 1991, followed by Sankar Gompa, also known as Sankar Monastery, located in the northern part of the city. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7 Leh Monastries

Day excursion to the famous monasteries in Leh. Leave early in the morning to witness the "praying ceremony" at Thiksey Monastery.

Then visit one of the biggest monasteries of Leh, Hemis. While returning, visit Shey Palace, built in 1655. The palace is now ruined, but one can enjoy soothing views from the top of the palace. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 8 Leh- Khardungla pass- Leh (80 kms)

Day excursion to Khardungla Pass, also known as the gateway to the Nubra and Shyok valleys in the Ladakh region. It is described as one of the world's highest motorable passes, at approximately 5,600 metres.

Enjoy the spectacular beauty of snow-capped mountains while sipping tea or having soup at Khardungla Pass. Return to Leh. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk at Leh Market. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 Departure
