Tour Plan

Day 1 Goa

Arrive in Goa and transfer to the hotel/resort. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel/resort in Goa.

Day 2 Goa

After breakfast, morning at leisure. Proceed for a half-day tour of Goa, including the Old Goa churches, Mangeshi Temple, and Dona Paula, with shopping in Panjim. In the evening, enjoy a one-hour cruise on the Mandovi River. Overnight in Goa.

Day 3 Goa to Badami

After breakfast, proceed to Badami, stopping en route at Belgaum Fort. Inside the fort are the Kamala Basti Jain Temple and the Jama Masjid, along with the Kapileshwar Temple and the Ananthashayana Temple. Belgaum is also known for its connection to Kittur Rani Chennamma, one of India's early freedom fighters, whose statue stands at a prominent square in the town. Beyond the fort, Belgaum has several notable temples and churches worth a visit, including the Maruti Temple and the temples of Shiva, Vithoba, Dyamavva, and Military Mahadeva, as well as St. Mary's Church, St. Xavier's Church (the oldest in the town), St. Anthony's Church, the Cathedral of Our Lady, and the Methodist Church. Arrive in Badami and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Badami to Hospet, via Pattadakal & Aihole

After breakfast, proceed toward Hospet, stopping en route at two UNESCO World Heritage sites:

Pattadakal — once the second capital of the Chalukyan dynasty and host to important state functions of the era, with several temples dating to the 6th and 7th centuries, including the Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Papanatha Temple.
Aihole — located around 13 km from Pattadakal, home to richly carved Hindu temples from the same Chalukyan period, including the Lad Khan Temple, Meguti Temple, and Durga Temple, plus a small archaeological museum.

Arrive in Hospet and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Hampi Sightseeing

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Highlights include:

Queen's Bath — a 15-metre square bath enclosed by galleries, verandas, and overhanging balconies, once fed with cool, perfumed water through an underground drain.
Vithala Temple — built in the 16th century, located 2 km east of Hampi Bazaar, known for its finely carved walls and musical pillars.
Raghunath Temple — set on a hilltop in the Dravidian style, offering excellent sunset views.
Virupaksha Temple — one of Hampi's oldest monuments, dating to the 15th century, dedicated to Lord Shiva, with a 50-metre tower and large-scale stone carvings including a Nandi and Ganesha, plus a Narasimha image and a large lingam.
King's Balance — located near Vithala Temple, historically used to weigh rulers against gold, jewels, and food for distribution to Brahmins.
Achyutaraya Temple — a large complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu, depicted reclining on the coils of a serpent.
Lotus Mahal — an ornate pavilion within the walled zenana enclosure, near the Hazara Rama Temple.

Day 6 Hospet to Hassan, via Belur & Halebid

After breakfast, proceed to Hassan, stopping en route at two Hoysala-era temple towns:

Halebid — the historic capital of the Hoysala empire, formerly known as Dwarasamudra. Its Shiva Temple, begun around 1142, remained under construction for three generations before the town was invaded by the Khiljis in 1310 and the Tughlaqs in 1327. The temple's southern entrances feature two intricately carved Nandi shrines.
Belur — located on the banks of the Yagachi River, 18 km from Halebid, and once the Hoysala capital. Home to the Chennakesava Temple, built in 1116 AD and dedicated to Lord Krishna, renowned for its detailed sculptural work, including dancing figures with rotating earring details — considered one of the finest examples of Hoysala art and architecture.

Arrive in Hassan and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Hassan to Mysore, via Shravanabelagola

After breakfast, proceed toward Mysore, stopping en route at Shravanabelagola, around 50 km from Hassan. Known as "the Monk of the White Pond," it is the oldest and most important Jain pilgrimage site in the country, home to the Gommateshwara statue — at 17 metres, the world's tallest monolithic statue, erected between AD 980 and 983 and representing the saintly prince Bahubali. Reaching the statue requires climbing roughly 700 steps carved into the granite hillside. Arrive in Mysore and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Mysore to Bangalore

After breakfast, proceed to Bangalore Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
